Jeffery R. Van Treese, D.D.S. graduated from Miami University, OH in 1982 and went on to Ohio State University where he graduated from the dental school in 1986. He served a general practice residency in 1987 and then came to Sidney to start his dental practice.

He has been married to Libby since 1981 and they have four young adult children. The whole family is active in Tournament Water Skiing and they have won several national awards. They have one dog and three cats.

Dr. Van Treese is very active in his church, First United Methodist of Sidney, and went on a mission trip to Haiti with his church group in 2008. He has also been very involved in bringing dental care to Sidney’s new medical clinic, Compassionate Care.

Karen L. Stueve, R.D.H., P.A.S. has been with Dr. Van Treese since 1996. In 1981 she graduated from Lima Technical College with an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. More recently she also obtained a certification from Egoscue University as a Posture Alignment Specialist to help people get relief from chronic pain. She is also certified in CPR, and serves on the JVS Advisory Board.

Karen has been married to Jack since 1985 and they have two young adult children and will soon be empty nesters. They have two cats, Miss Kitty and Shadow. Her favorite things are reading, music and movies.

She is our resident dental hygiene nerd and belongs to a large group of dental hygienists on the internet. In 2000, RDH Magazine published an article about a project she did for the office to inform local cardiologists, family doctors and OB-Gyn’s about the connection between gum disease and other systemic diseases.

Alicia A. Kehres, R.D.H. is the newest addition to our hygiene department. She graduated from Rhodes State College in 2006 with an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She is also certified in CPR.

She has been married since October of 2007 and has a stepson and stepdaughter. They have quite the menagerie of animals at their house with 5 dogs, turtles, and the occasional stray. She loves to jet ski and likes to go camping with her family.

Alicia has already made her mark on the hygiene world by starting a sealant program for one of Sidney’s elementary schools. We are very excited to have such a pro-active and caring person on our staff!
